Perdue Foods will invest $10.9 million to expand operations in its Richmond County, North Carolina facility.  The company will hire an additional 30 workers over three years.  The added production positions will generate about $886,000 in annual payroll impact for the local economy.  Perdue currently employs 3,400 in  North Carolina.

“The plant in Rockingham has been a part of Richmond County’s manufacturing base for more than 30 years.  It is very good news that Perdue is re-investing in its operations and creating new jobs.  We are truly grateful to have Perdue Farms in Richmond country,” said Richmond Country Board of Commissioners Chairman Kenneth Robinette.
