The Senate’s labor committee cleared several nominees for top U.S. Department of Labor positions, teeing them up for consideration before the full chamber.

The Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee voted Thursday to advance President Donald Trump’s picks to lead key enforcement subagencies including David Keeling to head the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Andrew Rogers to serve as administrator of the Wage and Hour Division, both on 12-11 party line votes.

Keeling was director of road and transportation safety at Amazon.com Inc. from 2021 to 2023, after serving in numerous safety positions at UPS Inc, according to his LinkedIn profile. Both companies have had numerous interactions with the agency Keeling has been selected to lead.

The nominees now go before the full Senate for a final confirmation vote.
