The North Carolina Poultry Federation (NCPF), the statewide trade association representing North Carolina’s chicken, turkey, and egg industries, is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to serve as its next Executive Director.

This high-level position will guide the strategic vision and daily operations of the Federation, advocating for North Carolina’s largest agricultural sector—an industry responsible for nearly $40 billion in economic impact and over 140,000 jobs.

The Executive Director will serve as the primary spokesperson and representative of the Federation, building strong relationships with government officials, industry leaders, allied
organizations, and member companies. Key responsibilities include leading government affairs strategy, managing regulatory and legislative engagement, overseeing association operations, and supporting member services and outreach.

The role requires a highly motivated professional with strong leadership, communication, and policy skills. Ideal candidates will bring a background in agriculture, public affairs, or
association management, along with a proven ability to build coalitions, influence policy, and represent industry interests in diverse forums.

“We’re looking for someone who understands both the complexity and the importance of agricultural advocacy,” said Robert L. Ford, Executive Director of NCPF. “This person will be at the table with lawmakers, regulators, and industry leaders—representing an industry that touches nearly every corner of North Carolina.”

This full-time position is based in Raleigh, NC, and includes travel throughout the state and to Washington, D.C. The Executive Director reports to the NCPF Board of Directors and works in close partnership with member companies and other key stakeholders.
