The Senate Appropriations Committee on Thursday approved its FY2026 Agriculture Appropriations bill by a 27-0 unanimous vote.
The bill now heads to the Senate floor. Senate leadership has not indicated timing on floor consideration.
As has been the case in recent years, the committee approved the bill by a unanimous, voice vote. The Senate bill included $27.1 billion in discretionary funding for USDA and FDA programs, a slight increase over Fy2025 enacted levels.
Meanwhile, the House Appropriations Committee approved its FY2026 Agriculture Appropriations bill on June 23 in a 35 to 27 vote. The House measure included $25.5 billion in discretionary funding (not including SNAP’s mandatory funding).
