Georgia Chick-fil-A Restaurants Help Create 2.5 Million Meals Through Chick-fil-A Shared Table

Chick-fil-A restaurants across Georgia reached a major milestone — helping create more than 2.5 million meals to nonprofit partners through the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program. Nearly 30 years ago, local Chick-fil-A restaurant Owner-Operator Marshall Wilkins made his first food donation to a neighboring nonprofit, Knoxville Area Rescue Ministries, planting the seed for what would later become the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program. Officially launched in 2012, the program helps Chick-fil-A Owner-Operators fight food insecurity in their local communities by donating surplus food to local soup kitchens, shelters and nonprofits to feed those in need.

Closing the Protein Gap: Tyson Foods’ Commitment to More Accessible Protein

Tyson Foods is addressing food insecurity by investing in Protein Pack Rooms within food banks, which efficiently portion and distribute protein donations to families in needThe company has committed $2.5m, including $1.25m specifically for these rooms, and leverages its expertise in logistics and operations to maximize impact. Through ongoing protein donations and infrastructure support, Tyson Foods aims to close the protein gap and create sustainable solutions for hunger relief nationwide.

House of Raeford Feed Mill Adds Storage, Speed to Benefit Farmers Across Six Counties 

When people hear the term “high tech,” it is unlikely that a grain storage facility is the first thing that comes to mind. However, a recent addition to House of Raeford Farms’ Rose Hill Feed Mill Complex incorporates advanced technology available in the industry. According to Michael Newton, director of Corporate Feed Mill Operations for House of Raeford Farms, the technology being used in the new parts of the facility will substantially affect the efficiency of the feed mill storage complex.

Perdue Farms Launches “Fill the Food Gap,” Putting 660,000 Meals on the Table 

With Hunger Action Month underway, Perdue Farms this week announced Fill the Food Gap, as a way to address the growing crisis of food insecurity nationwide. The effort begins with a donation of 800,000 pounds of protein to 10 local food banks along the East Coast – equivalent to more than 660,000 meals. Beyond this initial donation to 10 different food banks along the East Coast, Fill the Food Gap encompasses a multi-faceted approach throughout Hunger Action Month and beyond.

Perdue Farms Named to TIME’s List of the World’s Best Companies 2025

Perdue Farms has been named to TIME’s World’s Best Companies 2025 list, which honors global organizations for outstanding performance across associate satisfaction, revenue growth, and sustainability. The World’s Best Companies 2025 ranking highlights leading organizations that exemplify excellence in today’s corporate landscape. Companies were evaluated using three key data points: employee satisfaction, financial performance, and sustainability transparency. Out of hundreds of thousands of data points analyzed, the top 1,000 companies were recognized for delivering impact across these areas.

Yum! Brands announces trio of C-suite changes
Ranjith Roy, chief strategy officer and treasurer, has been named CFO. He will take over from Chris Turner, CFO and chief franchise officer, who back in June was named to succeed retiring CEO David Gibbs, effective Oct. 1. Yum! Brands also has promoted Sean Tresvant, CEO of Taco Bell, to chief consumer officer, and Jim Dausch, global chief digital and technology officer of Pizza Hut, to chief digital and technology officer for Yum! Brands. Dausch replaces Joe Park, who is leaving Yum! Brands to pursue an outside opportunity, the company said.
