The North Carolina Poultry Federation (NCPF) held its annual meeting earlier this month at the Grandover Resort & Conference Center. This was the 58th Annual Meeting of the Federation and included the election of the 2025-2026 Board of Directors, an Awards Banquet honoring this year’s environmental award winners as well as retiring Executive Director Robert L. Ford.
“Bob was always a big supporter of NCC and actively engaged with us and the industry,” said NCC President Harrison Kircher. “He had a keen eye for North Carolina politics and saw the state become number one in broiler production during his tenure as NCPF executive director. On behalf of the entire staff at NCC, I wish him and Linda all the best for a well-deserved retirement.”
Prior to his role as NCPF executive director, Bob was an Animal Health Pharmaceutical Manager of Corporate Poultry Accounts for 21 years with Upjohn-Pharmacia (now owned by Pfizer, Inc.).
A native of Owensboro, Kentucky and a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a BS in Agriculture and minor in Biology, Bob served three years in the U.S. Navy Reserve as Petty Officer 3rd Class and an Interior Communications Technician. He served two years active duty (1967-69) onboard the USS Capricornius AKA-57.
