The National Chicken Council’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) Search campaign won the Silver Award for “Best Use of New Technology in Communications Measurement ” at the International Association for the Measurement and Evaluation of Communications (AMEC) Awards recently in London. Others included in the category included companies such as Microsoft, UBS and Novartis.

As artificial intelligence redefines online search, NCC partnered with Ketchum to secure and expand our credibility in Google’s AI overview results across priority educational topics, including food safety, avian influenza, health and nutrition, poultry line speeds and contract chicken farming. We conducted a pioneering, data-driven analysis to benchmark our AI search presence, uncovered critical gaps, and developed a roadmap for optimizing content in a rapidly evolving search landscape. Through advanced search gap analysis, structured data recommendations, and agile content strategy, NCC is positioned as an authoritative voice for consumers and policymakers alike. This innovative approach ensures that our mission and content remain discoverable and relevant, meeting audiences where digital discovery now begins.

“We recognized the urgent communications challenge that the rapid adoption of AI-powered search tools was reshaping how Americans access information, including information about chicken and chicken production,” said NCC SVP of Communications Tom Super. “The goal of this project was to ensure NCC’s position and content on key topics is discoverable in AI search to minimize the risk of misinformation. I’m proud of the team for achieving that goal and for this prestigious honor.”

The AMEC awards are the annual Global Communication Effectiveness Awards hosted by the AMEC that recognize excellence in media measurement, research, and analytics, celebrating organizations that demonstrate the true impact of communication through data-driven insights.
