NCC President Harrison Kircher today announced that David Elrod has been promoted to Vice President of Government Affairs.

“David is a valued member of the NCC lobbying team and his work and extensive relationships in Washington are key to advancing the interests of the chicken industry on Capitol Hill,” said Kircher. “He’s worked his way up in the council in recent years and has developed into a true asset to our membership. His dedication and performance on behalf of the chicken industry make today’s announcement well deserved.”

After an internship with NCC in 2017, Elrod was hired as a Government Affairs Associate and subsequently promoted to Manager of Government Affairs and then Senior Director. In his current role, he assists in developing and executing NCC’s legislative policies; advocates public policy positions of the U.S. chicken industry with members of Congress, congressional staff, and other government officials; assists in managing legislative issues in the House of Representatives and Senate to meet NCC goals and objectives; and provides information to NCC members regarding legislative developments.

He represents NCC on Capitol Hill, increasing the industry footprint, and working directly with the Congressional and Senate Chicken Caucuses. He also oversees NCCPAC.

Elrod is a 2017 graduate of The King’s College in New York City.
