David Jackson, Chairman of the National Chicken Council, has announced the names of those industry representatives who will serve on NCC’s 2026 Human Resource, Poultry Health, and Safety & Health Committees. The Human Resource joint-committee chair will be chosen at the April 2026 USPOULTRY Workforce Conference. This committee is part of the Joint Poultry Industry Human Resource Council, along with the human resource committees of USPOULTRY and NTF.
Dr. Andy Bishop, Corporate Veterinarian, Wayne Sanderson Farms, will serve this term as chair of the Poultry Health Committee. Rick Hellinga, Senior Director of Safety, Health & Loss Prevention, Simmons Foods, was appointed by NCC this year to head up the Safety & Health Committee (NCC, National Turkey Federation, and the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association are part of the Joint Poultry Industry Safety and Health Council).
