A collection of consumer food safety groups this week sent a letter to USDA formally requesting an extension to the “Salmonella Framework for Raw Poultry Products.”

The Congressional and Senate Chicken Caucus on Thursday joined together in the U.S. Capitol building for an update from speakers from USDA, NCC, and the U.S. Poultry and Egg Export Council addressing various trade issues and opportunities as well as the ongoing Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) outbreak. A Chick-fil-A lunch was also provided.
