In a hearing of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee this week, Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack testified that policies on ethanol should be revisited by Congress, but warned that simply ending the Volumetric Ethanol Excise Tax Credit (VEETC) would “create a cliff” that would lead to significant job loss.

The National Chicken Council, along with 15 other groups, hosted a policy forum this week on Capitol Hill entitled “Corn Ethanol Policy in the 112^th Congress.”
