Veterinary Services at USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has published two documents related to the National Animal Health Monitoring System (NAHMS) Poultry 2010 study.
The first document describes the farm level health and management practices for chicken primary breeder and multiplier flocks. The report details breeder farm characteristics, biosecurity practices, bird health and vaccinated practices, as well as other information. The second document published by APHIS Veterinary Services describes the structure of the commercial poultry industry including interactions among segments of the poultry industry, movement of birds, and biosecurity practices.
