Brakebush Brothers has upgraded its National Chicken Council membership from Allied Member to Allied Leader. Chris Brakebush, vice president of purchasing for the Westfield, Wisconsin-based company, will now serve as the official representative to NCC.
The family owned Brakebush Brothers offers an array of fully cooked, pre-browned, fresh and frozen portioned products for the food industry. The company, which was founded by William and Otto Brakebush in 1925, remains family owned and operated with Otto’s son Carl acting as president and chairman of the board. Today, the third generation of the Brakebush family is deeply involved in the management of the company.
The company, which employs over 1,300 people, owns two subsidiary companies — Brakebush Transportation located in Wisconsin and Trinity Valley Foods located in Texas. The corporate office is located in Wisconsin with a fully cooked operation.
