More than 200 athletes in the Special Olympics Arkansas program gathered at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas for training in their respective sports. Each year, Cobb-Vantress supports the program on one evening of the weeklong event.

“Our partnership with Cobb continues to grow as much as our participation at camp grows. Cobb sponsors a dinner every year for the 200 Special Olympics athletes as well as their 50 coaches, parents, and mentors.  Cobb-Vantress’ partnership and support provides a true service to the athletes,” said Terri Weir, executive director and chief executive officer of Special Olympics Arkansas.

Special Olympics Arkansas serves all counties of the state, and involves 14,000 athletes, their families, and 5000 volunteers. It hosts over 280 competitions throughout the state during the year. Competitions may involve up to 17 sports such as cycling, power lifting, aquatics, bocce. and floor hockey.
