The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS)  has announced updated rates for services provided by personnel in 2016. These rates will be charged to meat and poultry establishments, egg products plants, and importers and exporters.

Rates will include basetime, overtime, and holiday inspection as well as identification, certification, and laboratory services.  The updated rates will begin to be applied on February 7, 2016, and will be broken down per hour, per employee, as follows:

  • Basetime = $54.56
  • Overtime = $69.20
  • Holiday = $83.84
  • Laboratory = $69.96
