OK Foods this week announced a long-term partnership with the River Valley Regional Food Bank (RVRFB) in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The partnership includes a five-year commitment to provide 500,000 pounds of chicken to the food bank, the largest commitment in OK Foods history.

Sebastian County, the home of OK Foods headquarters, has a child food insecurity rate of 30 percent, with 6,700 food insecure children in Fort Smith alone. The RVRFB is currently renovating a donated facility to increase capacity to serve their seven county area. “At OK Foods, we take seriously our mission to nourish the world,” said Trent Goins, president and CEO of OK Foods. “We are grateful that our parent company, Bachoco, is supportive in our mission and our efforts. There is a big need for nourishment in our community, and OK Foods is eager to support that need by partnering with the River Valley Regional Food Bank.”
