NCC posted a new blog this week featuring a chicken farmer.  Ninety five percent of broilers are raised on family farms. One of those family farms is where Bet, a chicken farmer from Georgia, happens to work. Get to know Bet and find out how she became a chicken farmer, and her thoughts on being a farmer in America.

Also this week, an email capture/subscription functionality is now live on Chicken Check In so that you can stay up to speed on announcements and resources.  You can access the email capture via:

  • A pop up box, which will appear after 5 seconds on the homepage OR The Cluck’s homepage
    • However, if you happen to erase your cookies, then the pop-will re-appear.
    • After you input your email (or opt for “CLOSE”), you’ll no longer see the pop-up box
  • There are also 3 buttons that will permanently be featured on the site to subscribe to the email:
    1. The envelope on the navigation bar header
    2. The envelope on the footer under “FOLLOW US”
    3. The “Subscribe” button under “GET IN TOUCH”
