The Prime Equipment Group has upgraded its membership with the National Chicken Council from allied member to allied leader.  Nick Gasbarro, vice president of the Columbus, Ohio-based company, will serve as the official representative to NCC.

The Prime Equipment Group, a privately held company, was founded in in 1992 by the Gasbarro family, which still runs the company.  Prime Equipment manufactures poultry processing equipment supplying innovative, reliable, and hard-working solutions for nearly every point on the modern processing line.

The company designs and builds stand-alone machines, as well as customized equipment systems and equipment from brand partners for processing plants all over the world.  Company teams members also provide engineering assistant; hands-on field support; and spare and replacement parts for multiple industries in over 15 countries.

Prime Equipment joined forces with Diversified Machine Products in 2010 and also added an additional manufacturing facility and sales office in Gainesville, Georgia.  The company has also recently added sales and distribution offices in Chapeco, Brazil; Moscow; and San Louis Potosi, Mexico.
