Tyson Foods was ranked number one in the food production category in Fortune’s 2017 “The World’s Most Admired Companies” list.  Tyson’s previous ranking was number five.

In the packaging and containers industry, the top honor went to Sealed Air, followed by Sonoco Products, International Paper, Westrock and Ball. The top five most admired companies in foodservice were: Starbucks, McDonald’s, Domino’s Pizza, Yum Brands and Panera Bread.

To determine the best-regarded companies in 51 industries, Korn Ferry Hay Group asked executives, directors, and analysts to rate enterprises in their own industry on nine criteria, which include ability to attract and retain talented people, quality of products and services, quality of management, innovation, social responsibility, use of corporate assets and long-term investment value.

Across all industries, Fortune’s “all-stars” list was topped by Apple, followed by: Amazon.com, Starbucks, Berkshire Hathaway, Disney, Alphabet, General Electric, Southwest Airlines, Facebook and Microsoft.
