Tyson Foods announced on Tuesday that Doug Ramsey has been promoted to president of the company’s poultry operations, according to a Tyson Foods press release. Ramsey had previously served as a senior vice president in the poultry business unit, managing foodservice national accounts, retail fully cooked Tyson branded products, and the school lunch program.

“I am pleased to announce Doug’s promotion.  His extensive experience in the poultry industry, his focus on operations excellence, and his ability to build strong teams are the right skills to guide our poultry business in the future,” said Noel White, Tyson Foods chief operations officer.  White previously led Tyson’s poultry operations.  He was promoted to COO in February.

Ramsey joined Tyson Foods in 1992 and has served in both domestic and international roles in multiple business units.  He earned a bachelor of science in agricultural business from Southern Arkansas University.
