Adriaan Cornelis Weststrate passed away on September 21 after a courageous battle with cancer. Adriaan was a keen visionary, a powerful leader, a passionate friend and a steadfast husband to Ladan. He was caring and giving to family, friends and strangers alike. His life’s mission was to meet every challenge with zeal and commitment.
“Adriaan’s many peers in the poultry industry and the association community, including myself, will greatly miss his involvement in our industry and with NCC activities,” said NCC President Mike Brown. Adriaan was not only a major contributor to the industry, but a recognized leader as well, whose smile and sense of humor always lit up the room. He led Rabobank with passion and conviction and his contributions to the industry are global in reach. Our thoughts and prayers are with Ladan and Adriaan’s family.”
