Broiler production is reduced on the pace of slaughter and recent hatchery data, according to USDA’s June World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) report.
Stronger demand in several key markets support higher broiler meat exports forecasts for 2022; the 2023 forecasts are unchanged.
The report estimated 93.4 million acres of corn planted through December 2021 and is projecting 89.5 million acres for 2022. 2021 yield is 177.0 bushels per acre and 2022 is projected to be 177.0 bushels per acre.
USDA estimated 87.2 million acres of soybeans planted through December 2021 and is projecting 91.0 million acres for 2022. 2021 yield is 51.4 bushels per acre and 2022 is projected to be 51.5 bushels per acre.
