Peco Foods this week announced two promotions for its senior team.
Cameron Sanders has taken on the role of corporate director of animal health and welfare and sustainability, while John Taylor Hickman will be corporate director of feed ingredients and land management.
Sanders, who holds a bachelor’s degree in poultry science and production from Mississippi State University, first joined the company in 2016. He also serves on the National Chicken Council’s Broiler Welfare Committee.
“At Peco, we respect all aspects of sustainability and are committed to setting the industry standard while doing the right things for the environment, our animals, and our people,” Peco president and chief executive officer Mark Hickman said. “Cameron has demonstrated his dedication to not only our company but to the communities we serve, and we are confident he will lead us in advancing our sustainability journey and providing the best care possible for our birds.”
John Taylor Hickman, a graduate of the University of Alabama and the Management Training Program at Keystone Foods, also began working for Peco in 2016. Hickman has served as feed ingredient purchasing manager and several other positions in the company.
“Our relationships with local family farmers and the communities we serve are vital to building a sustainable supply chain for everyone,” Peco executive vice president and director of live operations Roddy Sanders said. “John Taylor is a natural connector who builds strong relationships with our family farmers and puts quality above all else. We look forward to seeing our grain purchasing and feed mills continue to grow under his leadership.”
