Rep. Tom Cole (R-OK), the newly installed chair of the House Appropriations Committee, this week announced updates to the subcommittee chairmanships and rosters in advance of consideration of FY2025 funding.
With Rep. Cole’s ascension to the chair of the full committee, his chairmanship of the Transportation-HUD subcommittee shifts to Rep. Steve Womack (R-AR), who had previously chaired the Financial Services-General Government subcommittee. That chairmanship will now move to Rep. Dave Joyce (R-OH). Rep. Joyce was previously chair of the Homeland Security subcommittee, which now moves to Rep. Mark Amodei (R-NV). Rep. Amodei was chair of the Legislative Branch subcommittee, which now moves to Rep. David Valadao (R-CA), who was not a subcommittee chair.
Reps. Andy Harris (R-MD), Hal Rogers (R-KY), Ken Calvert (R-CA), Chuck Fleischmann (R-TN), Mike Simpson (R-ID), Robert Aderholt (R-AL), John Carter (R-TX), and Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL) all retain their subcommittee chair positions.
