NCC this week provided comments to the Department of Justice’s (DOJ’s) Request for Information (RFI) regarding state laws that significantly and adversely affect the national economy or interstate commerce. NCC is pleased that DOJ is considering actions in response to state laws and regulations that hamper economic growth and hold back the American economy. Eliminating costly regulations and reforming misguided policy will directly reduce costs, drive efficiency, and advance the Administration’s goals of unlocking lower prices for American consumers and unleashing American agriculture.

The Trump administration’s decision not to limit water pollution from meat and poultry processing plants is being challenged by environmental groups. Ten organizations have filed a petition asking the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco to review the Aug. 28 decision by EPA to withdraw a 2024 proposed discharge rule.
