Combined exports of poultry meat, eggs, live poultry, and related products in 2011 totaled a record $5.462 billion, 16.9 percent more than the 2010 total of $4.671 billion. Poultry meat within the overall export category lead the way with a 17.8-percent increase and accounted for over 82 percent of the category total. All five subcategories experienced double-digit growth in export sales.
