In addition, Charles C. “Chick” Allen III, past president and chief executive officer of Allen Family Foods, Seaford, Delaware, was elected to be an Honorary Life Member of the NCC board of directors. Allen served as NCC’s Chairman during 1991-92. In the nominating letter for Allen it was noted that “while he was a board member he most faithfully discharged his duties as a director through regular attendance at meetings and active participation in council activities and initiatives. By contributing his time and service above and beyond that normally expected of a Director, Chick set a truly high standard.” Allen joins a select list of seven other living honorary life members.
