The National Chicken Council has changed the 2016 dates for its annual “Day in Washington” meeting.  The meeting had been scheduled for March 9-10; however, the final House schedule was recently revised, indicating that House Members would be in their state districts over the March 9-10 dates.  NCC’s goal is to maximize its lobbying effort by conducting the Day in Washington when both the House and Senate are in session.

The new dates for the meeting are Wednesday, March 2 and Thursday, March 3.  The final 2016 congressional calendar indicates that members of both the House and Senate will be in Washington over the new set of dates.  The headquarter hotel for the meeting remains the Washington Court Hotel on Capitol Hill.

The “Day in Washington” meeting provides an opportunity for representatives from NCC member companies to meet with Members of Congress to discuss legislative issues of significant interest to the chicken industry.  All NCC members are invited to participate in this meeting, and there are no registration fees to attend.  Meeting participants will be responsible for booking and picking up the cost of their hotel rooms at the Washington Court Hotel.  If you wish to attend, please use the following link to inform NCC of your plans to participate no later than February 9.
