USDA’s February 2025 Chickens and Eggs report showed that the number of broiler-type chicks hatched in January 2025 increased by three percent from the prior year. As of February 1, 2025, the total number of eggs in incubators reached 745 million, representing a three percent increase compared to the previous year. Additionally, leading breeders placed 7.67 million broiler-type pullets in January, also up by three percent from January 2024.
