NCC hosts poultry science students

NCC recently hosted a group of nine undergraduate Poultry Science majors from the Department of Poultry Science at Texas A&M University. The Aggie Poultry Ambassadors were in Washington, D.C. to learn and meet with groups that impact the agriculture and poultry industries. The students also met with the House and Senate Agriculture Committees and toured the U.S. Capitol.

FREMONTA joins NCC as allied member company

FREMONTA Corp., based in San Jose, CA, has joined the National Chicken Council as an allied member company. Dr. Terry Arthur, President, will serve as the official representative to NCC.

U.S. total broiler slaughter data for the week ending January 10, 2026, is estimated by USDA’s Poultry Market News Service to be 173,646,000 broilers, a 13-percent increase from the same week a year earlier.
